Extraordinary Experience

Received my first delivery of oils today and made all three the center of dinner. I decided a simple pasta with fresh tomato, Maldon salt, and freshly grated Malabar black pepper, and a sprinkling of fresh snipped summer savory leaves from my kitchen garden would provide a suitable canvas to showcase the different characteristics of the oils. Perfect choice. They are all delicious, maybe equally so by virtue of their differences. I can’t pick a favorite yet. I’m thrilled I joined the club, so far the experience is extraordinary.

Like a fine wine

These oils are amazing! Like a fine wine. Each has its own distinctive taste. When I receive mine I can’t wait to open one and pour a little on a teaspoon to savor. Customer service is fantastic too!

I’ll never go back to store-bought oil

Oh. My. Goodness. Sometimes the simplest preparation is the best. I was dining solo at home while my husband and son were at their activities. I needed “comfort food.” My “go-to” is always pasta. Not being in the mood to make a fancy dish, I simply cooked linguine, then whipped up the “sauce” of Picual “bold” olive oil, fresh minced garlic, Italian seasoning, “sweet heat” pepper from Flat Iron Pepper, and freshly ground salt and pepper. A quick toss, and dinner was DONE. The Picual was absolutely amazing in this simple, yet satisfying dish. I cannot wait till our June shipment arrives—I’m just about out of our three olive oils from this spring. I will NEVER, EVER go back to “store-bought” EVOO again! Thank you, TJ, for sourcing the world’s BEST EVOO!

I feel like part of a larger family

Hi Folks: There was a Facebook post asking if you could have fresh pressed olive oil only one way, what would it be? I have to say in a tablespoon straight from the bottle. This is still my favorite way to enjoy our oil. Also, I was concerned about the quality during the travel restrictions due to TJ, et al, being “here” and not “there.” However, when I read about the oils, I realized that Duccio Morozzo, Paco Vaño, and others are really our friends and care just as much about making our oils special. I favour the stronger oils, but the selections this year have been superb, and I feel like part of a larger family and I trust our friends overseas. It’s a great feeling.
